MONDAY'S AT HVAC

HVAC Wholesale was founded on September 1, 2021, and we opened our doors at Sanigar Court on March 1, 2022. Like any new business, our initial challenges included securing credit accounts with manufacturers, managing cash flow, and stocking our shelves. The summer of 2022 brought record-breaking temperatures, with 40.3 degrees Celsius recorded, which, to no surprise, led to a widespread shortage of trunking.

We were nervous about starting to import from Europe. Communication barriers, Brexit challenges, import duties, and let's not forget the prospect of a 40ft container of product arriving was in itself terrifying.  We were already familiar with Tecnosystemi from European trade events, so we bravely made contact. After a visit to HVAC Wholesale, Technosysemi said yes, and this marked the beginning of our relationship.

Tecnosystemi was founded in Venice, Italy, in 1992 and remains an independent Italian family business. They employ 190 people and manufacture 80% of their products in Venice. Their products are leaders in 60 countries worldwide. In 2024, they manufactured over 18 million products across eight brands from their three sites, all dedicated to the HVAC industry. The true value of Tecnosystemi lies in its people.

Adam and I had the opportunity to visit their facilities, and it was truly impressive. Upon arriving in Venice, we took a water taxi, which felt like a scene from a James Bond movie. A short drive to Treviso brought us to their headquarters. We received a warm welcome from all the staff, and there was a clear sense of ease, joy, and pride in their communication. Treviso is a beautiful area, and things operate a little differently than in the UK. People often rent homes for generations, with agreements tied to employment. Tecnosystemi is one of the largest employers in Treviso, a responsibility the owners clearly take with great care. The manufacturing plant itself was incredibly impressive, and innovation was evident when we were invited to meet the R&D team. They are the manufacturer to watch out for in 2026.
