MONDAY'S AT HVAC

Hi Everyone,
It's October half-term, and the kids are off again. Adam and I always take this week to get away. I'm writing this week's "Monday at HVAC" blog post from the peaceful Tuscan hills, and it's given me time to reflect.
Three years ago today, my situation was very different. I was on garden leave, scared, shocked, and convinced I'd never have a holiday again. Looking at LinkedIn, I see "open to work" on many faces. I was terrified; it wasn't the first time I'd faced unemployment, but this felt harder somehow.
In an attempt to be proactive, I made a list of everyone I had enjoyed working with. I contacted each person on the list, and one of them was Richard Stewart from Air Conditioning Accessories. He gave me and Adam the courage to set up HVAC, and with our kids also on board, the business was created.
Three years later, 236 of you have opened accounts with us, and this year I am so proud to say we hit our first million. HVAC now stocks over 1,000 lines and employs six people.
Writing "Mondays at HVAC" and this blog is a great opportunity to be mindful, reflect, and be grateful – perhaps a little indulgent. An old friend of mine used to always say, "June, you never stop to smell the roses." As I get older, I understand how important this is.
So, whether you're in a job, own your own business, or are looking for work, remember to stop and smell the roses.
Have a great half-term, everyone!
June x
